Building Cubes to Find Parallel and Perpendicular Edges
In our geometry unit in math, students created a 3D shape (cubes) and used their creations to find parallel and perpendicular edges. The students listed the edges on cards, labeling them with letters to represent the different edges to their shapes.
Michigan Wax Museum Presentations
In 3rd grade, all students participate in a wax museum presentation. They highlight something that they have learned about in Social Studies. They research the topic, take on a role to present, write a summary, and then present their learning to an audience of their peers and families.
